Enrolment
What are the entry requirements?+
For our six-month courses, you need a Form IV certificate with passes in English and (for Flight Ops) Mathematics, plus basic computer skills. Our one-day awareness courses are open to all aviation and airport staff with no prior qualifications required.
When does the next intake start?+
We run two intakes a year for the six-month courses, and monthly intakes for the one-day awareness courses. The exact dates are listed on each course page, get in touch if you'd like us to hold a place for you.
Fees & payment
How are fees paid?+
Course fees can be paid in full at enrolment or in flexible instalments agreed with admissions. We accept bank transfer and mobile money. A receipt is issued for every payment.
Courses & certificates
Is the certificate recognised by employers?+
Yes. Our Flight Operations Officer certificate is issued under SATC approval and is recognised by airlines and ground handlers across the region. Our Cargo Introductory course is aligned to the IATA syllabus.
Does the Cargo Introductory course give an IATA certificate?+
The course is taught against the IATA syllabus and prepares students for the IATA examination, which is sat at the end of the course.
How often does Dangerous Goods Awareness need to be renewed?+
Under current IATA rules, dangerous goods awareness training must be refreshed at least every 24 months. Many employers prefer annual refreshers, we can deliver these on-site for groups.
Who needs Dangerous Goods Awareness training?+
Anyone who works around aircraft, cargo or passengers, including check-in agents, cabin crew, ramp staff, security and back-office team members who handle paperwork.
How often is Aviation Security Awareness refreshed?+
Initial training is followed by refresher training at intervals set by the National Civil Aviation Security Programme, typically annually for staff in security-sensitive roles.

Where is the training centre?+
Our campus is on Bains Avenue, Plot 1403, House No 5, Masaki, Dar es Salaam. It sits close to Coco Beach and a short drive from the city centre and the airport.
Do you offer training online?+
Our public website is the first step of a larger platform. Online and hybrid delivery is on the way as part of our next phase, register your interest and we'll be in touch as soon as it's available.
