Flight Operations Officer
Elevate your aviation career with the Flight Operations Officer course, our most comprehensive training programme.
Course overview
The Flight Operations Officer (FOO) is the airline's eyes on every flight from the ground. Working alongside pilots and air traffic control, the FOO plans the route, watches the weather, balances fuel and weight, files the paperwork and stays with the flight from pushback to landing.
This six-month course builds that skill set from the ground up. You will learn the rules, the tools and the judgement needed to dispatch flights in a busy operations centre, and you will graduate with a SATC (Soma Aviation Training Centre) certificate recognised by airlines and ground handlers across the region.
